The European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing, “11th ECNDT 2014” was organized by the Czech Society for Non-Destructive Testing in cooperation with the European Federation of NDT (EFNDT) and the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS. As part of a special workshop on the European Science Day, two extraordinary lectures by world renowned scientists Prof. Peter Higgs, Nobel Prize winner in Physics, and Prof. Leon Chu took place.

The event also featured presentations by representatives of the European Commission on the EU’s “HORIZON 2020” programme and other world-leading experts in the fields of non-destructive testing and evaluation of materials and structures and industrial diagnostics.
