The 12th Conference of Hospital Gynecologists and Obstetricians was held in Pilsen this year

From November 23 to 25, 2023, Pilsen was the center of lively discussions and knowledge sharing at the 12th Conference of Hospital Gynecologists and Obstetricians (SNGP 2023). The meeting was held at the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Pilsen and attracted 298 experts from various fields of gynecology and obstetrics.

The professional program was a complex combination of various aspects of gynecology and obstetrics. It not only included specialized sections but also provided an engaging platform for workshops.

Before the start of the conference, several informative workshops awaited the participants. From the prevention and treatment of perineal birth injury to discussions of CTG (cardiotocography) for intrapartum fetal monitoring and the complexities associated with intrapartum fetal hypoxia, these seminars offered invaluable insights and skill enhancement. Colposcopy, another major topic, found its place among the pre-conference workshops and contributed to the diverse range of topics covered. After the workshops, the scientific program continued with various sections, lectures, and discussions.

The conference was not only a ground for gaining new knowledge and opinions. A social program reflecting the spirit of Pilsen, a city famous for its brewing heritage, was also prepared. On Friday 24 November, the participants settled in the iconic premises of the Pilsen brewery and established contacts outside the lecture halls. Here they could taste traditional cuisine made from honest ingredients from local farmers and Pilsner Urquell beer of the best quality.

On Friday, before the start of the social dinner, an orientation run connected with a knowledge competition was organized for the participants. This activity not only encouraged a healthy spirit of competition but also offered the participants an opportunity to unwind.

None of this would have been possible without the careful planning of the implementation team headed by Michaela Šefrnová, to whom many thanks are due. Furthermore, we would like to once again thank the Association of Hospital Gynecologists and Obstetricians, the speakers, thanks to whom the mission of the conference was fulfilled, the sponsoring companies and exhibitors for their support, and all the participants for creating a friendly and pleasant atmosphere during the entire conference.
