‘‘Hydrogen – The Road to Energy Independence’’

The 13th International Conference on Hydrogen Technologies took place in Prague on 29-31 March. The venue was the City Conference Centre (KCC), which is a good choice for congresses and conferences thanks to its variability.

The motto of the conference was ‘‘Hydrogen – The Road to Energy Independence’’. This theme responds to the current complex plan REPowerEU to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels in the energy, industry, and transport sectors.

A rich programme was prepared for the participants during the three-day conference. The opening of the first day was followed by a scientific programme full of the latest research. The second day ended with a social dinner at the Šalanda Restaurant. The conference ended with a closing ceremony and the awarding of student prizes for the best presentation and the best poster. For the first time, the conference included a Czech educational session, which was designed for participants interested in obtaining more information and learning about the basic principles of hydrogen technology. In the Czech educational session, experts talked about an introduction to hydrogen technology, but also about regulatory and legislative frameworks.

The topics of the conference were: Development and deployment in the energy sector, Development and deployment in transportation, Cross-cutting and overarching issues, and many more.

The conference enjoyed the presence of nearly 200 participants and 12 exhibitors.

We would like to thank all those who contributed to the realization of the conference. We would also like to thank the participants, partners, and sponsors who were part of this successful conference.
