The Czech Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association CZATSEA welcomed, after a long break caused by the COVID-19 disease, the member associations of the International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Associations IFATSEA in Prague for their 50th General Assembly.
The gathering took place on the 25th-29th. September in Prague’s Vienna House Andel’s hotel, where the participants were also accommodated. The five-day gathering brought together aviation professionals, suppliers, representatives of regulatory bodies and member associations to enjoy face-to-face meetings and discuss key topics after a two-year hiatus.
Those who came to the meeting could of course look forward to a rich program full of new knowledge. The first day was intended for the members of the executive board. The following day, the opening ceremony of the assembly took place, followed by a series of lectures, speeches by CEOs or other important personalities belonging to the associations. The afternoon program included a panel discussion and a plenary session. The evening was closed with a social welcome reception for all participants incl. their companions.
The following days were filled with many discussions, lectures and networking, with each day ending with an executive board meeting, with the exception of the last day, when a gala dinner took place at the Staropramen brewery in Smíchov.
The theme of this year’s meeting was “ATSEP, a key contributor to ANS safety, efficiency and performance”. Important points discussed include the air traffic management framework, ATM effectiveness, ATSEP training, ATSEP competencies, ATSEP licensing and more…
The 50th edition of IFATSEA was attended by more than one hundred delegates from thirty-seven countries representing four IFATSEA regions, namely Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
Of course, we would like to thank everyone who helped with the realization of the gathering. We would like to thank the client, participants, presenters, exhibitors, as well as the implementation team of IDEAS by GUARANT International, led by project manager Kateřina Lešková.
