The 3rd Congress on Tooth transplantation attracted world experts in tooth transplantation to Prague

At the end of May (May 19-21), the 3rd Congress on Tooth Transplantation took place. The event took place in the premises of the modern conference center CUBEX Centrum Praha. The congress was supposed to take place already last year, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and global restrictions, the event was moved to May this year.

The goal of the congress is to present and discuss the current findings on autotransplantation of teeth. World-class speakers with clinical and scientific experience in dental transplantation were invited to the congress.

The congress was officially opened on Friday morning with a ceremony. The opening speech was delivered by the chairman of the congress, Dr. Ivo Marek. After his speech, the Czech dulcimer band performed the composition Nothing else matters and other well-known world hits in modern versions.

The professional program was varied and busy; it included short lectures, thirteen long lectures, a poster session and a Thursday congress course. The short lectures were divided into half-hour blocks, during which three speakers presented their practical experience. The biggest attraction was the congress course led by Dr. Mitsuhiro Tsukiboshi. Dr. Tsukiboshi lectures extensively on dental trauma and autotransplantation and is the author of numerous articles and two textbooks, one from 1998 on dental trauma, the other from 2000 on autotransplantation.

The main topics of the congress were Key aspects of successful tooth transplantation: expert discussion and presentation of their protocols, Treatment of complications, Surgical straightening of ectopic teeth, Prognosis of different types of transplanted teeth, Alternative treatment of missing teeth, Reshaping of premolars transplanted into the anterior maxilla and Digital technology to support tooth transplantation.

As part of the social program, the President’s Evening took place in the premises of the baroque Kaiserštejn Palace.

Part of the congress was an exhibition attended by eighteen companies.

We would like to thank the client, all speakers and participants, partners and exhibitors for their support, as well as our implementation team GUARANT International led by project manager Jitka Puldová for the beautiful third year of the Tooth Transplantation Congress.
