The Future is Beautiful: SELM 2025 Congress Showed the Direction of Aesthetic Medicine

Date: June 6–7, 2025
Venue: O2 Universum, Prague
Project Manager: Romana Kluková

Beauty and medicine met in one place – and artificial intelligence was there too. The SELM 2025 Congress (Congress of Aesthetic and Laser Medicine), held on June 6 and 7 at the O2 Universum in Prague, brought up-to-date topics in aesthetic and laser medicine, plastic surgery, and dermatology. Experts from both the Czech Republic and abroad gathered to share new knowledge, experiences, and directions in the development of a field that today stands at the intersection of medicine, technology, and ethics.

Scientific Program

SELM 2025 demonstrated that aesthetic medicine today represents a sophisticated medical discipline based on accurate diagnostics, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration – it is no longer just about beautification, but about regeneration, healing, rejuvenation, and long-term safety of procedures.
The congress presented an integrated approach to the field: from biostimulation and modern injection protocols activating fibroblasts, through advanced laser technologies, longevity, and aesthetic surgery, to the use of artificial intelligence for more accurate diagnosis, outcome prediction, and medical decision-making.
Legal and ethical topics were also addressed, such as informed consent and personal data protection.
For the first time, the event was held as a two-day congress with a rich program simultaneously interpreted between English and Czech, which enabled a truly international exchange of insights.
More than 30 professional lectures were delivered, with 9 international speakers including Dr. Roy Kim from the USA and others from Greece, Israel, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia.
The congress was attended by over 200 participants and featured 35 partners and exhibitors, confirming SELM as a significant European event in the field of aesthetic medicine.

Social Program

The program also included a social evening held on June 6 at Brick’s Restaurant. In a relaxed and pleasant setting, participants could meet outside the framework of professional lectures, enjoy a shared dinner, high-quality cuisine, and the accompaniment of a jazz trio that enhanced the relaxed atmosphere of the evening.

Conclusion

SELM 2025 confirmed that aesthetic medicine is not only about technique, but also about approach, respect, and responsibility towards patients. For a few days, Prague became a place of professional exchange, new impulses, and sharing of experiences that move the field forward.
We thank all speakers, partners, and participants for their active involvement, and especially project manager Romana Kluková and the entire team for the precise organization and smooth course of this exceptional event.
