Hydrogen Days 2025: Hydrogen – From Politics to Business

Date: March 19–21, 2025
Venue: OREA Hotel Pyramida, Prague
Project Manager: Kristýna Zwiefelhofer

With great enthusiasm, we welcomed experts, researchers, innovators, and industry representatives to the heart of Europe, in Prague, for a conference focused on hydrogen technologies and fuel cells. This event provided an exceptional platform for sharing the latest insights, strategies, and technical solutions related to hydrogen, not only within the Czech Republic but also across the Visegrad Four countries and the entire Central European region.

Main Theme: Hydrogen – From Policy to Business

This year’s edition carried the subtitle “Hydrogen – From Politics to Business” and focused on three key thematic areas shaping the future of the hydrogen economy:

  • Development and implementation of hydrogen technologies in the energy sector
  • Use of hydrogen in transportation
  • Cross-cutting and strategic issues shaping the future of the hydrogen economy

The first day featured four discussion blocks on topics related to hydrogen. Throughout all conference days, participants were welcomed by exhibitors and had the opportunity to experience rides in hydrogen-powered vehicles. Following last year’s example, participants could also join the Matchmaking session, where they gained new contacts through three-minute presentations.

Student Awards

  • Student Award 2025: The aim of this award is to support the high-quality work of young researchers. A professional jury recognized the best student presentation and the best student poster.
  • HYTEP Award: This award was given for outstanding master’s theses in the field of hydrogen technologies.

Social Programme

In cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague, a welcome reception was held. This social evening provided space for informal meetings, networking, and connecting the expert community in the fields of hydrogen and energy innovations.

Looking Ahead

The Hydrogen Days 2025 conference delivered crucial information, fresh momentum, and inspiration for further development in the hydrogen economy. It highlighted how essential it is to connect science, policy, and business, and it certainly supported the formation of new partnerships.

We look forward to the next edition – with new ideas, technologies, and people who are changing the world through sustainable hydrogen solutions.
