The 15th edition of the EWIC 2023 immunogenetics conference took place in the premises of the IKEM Congress Center on March 15-17, 2023. The conference was held under the auspices of the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) and the Immunogenetics Section of the Czech Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology. The EWIC conference annually brings together immunogeneticists and other scientists from all over Europe.
The three-day professional program was dedicated to new findings from the field of immunogenetics. On the first day, there was a pre-conference workshop on Flow Cytometry Cross-Examination and Microchimerism led by Robert Liwski. In the evening, the conference was officially opened with a ceremony and the first lecture. On the second day, expert lectures and company symposia took place. In the evening, a social evening in the form of a conference dinner was organized for the participants. It was held in the “Na tý louce zelený” restaurant, which is located near the venue and offers guests classic Czech cuisine. On the last day, an interesting professional program took place again, which culminated in a discussion and the final conclusion of the conference.
The conference included a small exhibition attended by 7 exhibitors. The event was supported by 8 partners.
The EWIC 2023 conference was attended by 150 participants from 20 countries.
We thank the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) and the Immunogenetics Section of the Czech Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology for their trust. Our thanks go to all partners and exhibitors, without whom the event could not take place. Finally, we want to thank all the speakers, participants and our implementation team led by project manager Michaela Šefrnová.
