The second edition of the E&E Event took place on 14 and 15 November 2022 in Vienna, the historic and modern capital of Europe. The event took place in a hybrid format. The physical part took place at the newly renovated Hilton Vienna Park, in the heart of the city. The virtual part took place on the gCon platform.

The E&E Event connects high-ranking executives and professionals from the world of bitumen and asphalt. Eurobitume and EAPA, the industry leaders, present an innovative event concept based on an interactive discussion platform. The E&E Event 2022 in Vienna builds on the concept introduced at the first edition and builds on some of the areas of interest from the E&E Congress 2021: “Asphalt 4.0 and Future Mobility”.

A total of 333 participants from 40 countries attended the E&E event. A two-day programme with six sessions was prepared for the event participants, defining new challenges for the asphalt industry, and addressing current issues and the form of communication in the sector.

The entire event was moderated by Peter Woodward. Peter has been involved in interventions on a variety of topics and has a wealth of experience in overcoming differing perspectives on challenging issues. The invitation was accepted by special guest and motivational speaker Mark Beaumont, who is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest person to circumnavigate the planet on a bicycle. Other speakers included 19 respected industry professionals.

The social programme included a Networking Dinner in the historic Kursalon building, one of the most beautiful buildings in Vienna. The Kursalon was built in the mid-19th century and has been the venue for concerts and other major social events ever since. The dinner included a short motivational lecture by Mark Beaumont.

The event included an extensive exhibition with 17 exhibitor stands. The event was supported by 9 corporate and 9 media partners.
