The 24th MFC Annual Conference was held in Istanbul

From June 29 to 30, the 24th MFC Annual Conference was held at the Wyndham Grand Istanbul Leven Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. The main theme of the conference was “Microfinance Investments in a Time of Uncertainty”. The conference attracted participants from around the world, including microfinance professionals, investors, IT providers, social finance enthusiasts and more.

This year’s 24th edition of the conference focused on the microfinance investment environment and opportunities, important updates in the industry and the latest approaches to gender, green finance, and the conference also addressed technological challenges and the financial inclusion of refugees and migrants.

During the two-day conference, there were four plenary sessions, four expert lectures, the opening and closing ceremonies, including the award ceremony. The conference offered plenty of space for networking. As part of the social program, an informal cocktail reception was organized on the premises of the hotel on the first evening. On the second evening, as part of the gala dinner, the participants enjoyed the beauty and flavors of Turkey during a boat cruise on the Bosphorus Strait.

The conference was attended by more than 400 participants, mainly from the countries of Central Asia and Europe.

This year was the first physical event after the pandemic, and we rate it as a success. We would like to thank clients, partners and sponsors, exhibitors, all participants and speakers, as well as the implementation team of GUARANT International, led by project manager Viki Karlovská.
