The GASTRO 2021 Congress (A Joint Meeting WGO/CGS) took care of the successful end of our congress season for 2021. The congress took place on 9-11th of December 2021 in hybrid form. Therefore, some participants connected remotely via our gCon platform, and some came in person to the O2 Universum congress facilities.

Four experts in their field took part in the opening ceremony: Julius Špičák, Naima Amrani, Ondřej Urban and Guilherme Macedo. They welcomed all participants and wished them a wonderful experience. Once launched, the scientific program began. The farthest speaker flew in from the USA and during the congress, he also managed to get to know both the beauties of Prague and its surroundings.

An exhibition also took place at the O2 Universe in Hall C1. There were 18 exhibiting companies on site. 24 companies took part in the online exhibition. 3 satellite symposia were also included in the program.

The success of the event is also evidenced by the number of registered users. In total, almost 800 participants registered for the event, with a ratio of 50:50 participants on-site/online connection.
