The virtual congress VAS is successfully behind us

The 12th Congress of the Vascular Access Society (VAS) took place from 6 to 9 April. The biennial VAS Congress brings together an international community of vascular access specialists for dialysis, oncology and parenteral nutrition – nephrologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, angiologists and cardiologists.

For quality treatment of patients with renal failure, it is necessary to ensure quality vascular access and the associated versatility and education of nurses working in dialysis wards and ARO and ICU wards.

During the four-day congress, a busy program was prepared for 351 participants, which consisted of 2 workshops (for doctors and nurses), 20 program blocks, 4 sponsored symposia and the opening and closing ceremonies.

During the congress, experts specializing in vascular diseases learned about innovations in the development and results of clinical practice. They were able to interact with other participants and share their experiences.

The scientific program was preceded by the first day dedicated to professional interactive workshops. One of them was a workshop on Ultrasound of the Vascular Access for nurses by the Spanish speaker Ruben Iglesias, which was very well evaluated by the participants.

The congress was supported by 4 partners and an exhibition with 8 virtual stands was prepared for the participants.

We would like to thank the client, all participants and the entire organizational team, led by project manager Jitka Puldová. We believe that everyone enjoyed the congress and we look forward to being able to organize the VAS congress for the fourth time in 2025, this time perhaps in physical form in Mestre (Venice).
