INTRODUCTION
A futuristic skyline, rich cultural heritage, and the absolute top of global medicine. At the turn of November and December 2025, the iconic Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) hosted the 19th World Congress of Neurosurgery (WFNS 2025). The event, fully organized by the GUARANT International team, welcomed nearly 2,000 experts from all over the world. It proved that face-to-face meetings and sharing practical experience remain irreplaceable for the development of medicine.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM AND INTENSIVE HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS
The educational program started on Sunday and Monday with highly intensive pre-congress courses and hands-on workshops, setting a great pace for the whole week. Experts had a unique opportunity to practice the latest procedures under the guidance of international leaders. The practical training covered a wide range of specialties – from Cervical Spine, Robotic Spine Surgery, and the use of exoscopes, through Endoscopic Spine Surgery and Neuroendoscopy, to topics like White Matter Dissection, Microvascular Bypass, Vascular CEA, Spinal Deformity, and Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. According to the delegates’ feedback, the chance to improve their techniques step by step was a huge benefit.
The main congress itself started on Tuesday and offered a dynamic program reflecting current and future challenges in neurosurgery. Every day was driven by deep expertise and the exchange of experience. The morning sessions always set a fast pace for a series of fascinating scientific discussions. A very strong and inspiring part of the Wednesday program was the dedicated “Women in Neurosurgery” session, which highlighted the key role of women in this demanding field.

SOCIAL PROGRAM AND UNFORGETTABLE NETWORKING
The combination of modern Dubai and the carefully prepared facilities at the DWTC worked perfectly, not only for the scientific part but also for the social events. On Monday, the congress was officially started by a spectacular Opening Ceremony that filled the venue with great energy. This was smoothly followed by a warm Welcome Reception. The days full of sharing knowledge and new ideas peaked on Thursday with the Networking Dinner in the luxurious spaces of the Conrad Dubai hotel.

CONCLUSION
The strongest message of the congress was summarized in the official thank-you speech by the Congress President and representative of the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Mohammad Al-Olama. He emphasized that true success is not measured only in the lecture halls, but mainly in the new connections made. He called the participants a global family of “WFNS Trustees” and encouraged them to bring the spirit of the Dubai meeting and their new ideas back to their home institutions. The congress also included a ceremonial welcome for the new WFNS leadership, symbolically passing the torch towards the next meeting in Bali.
Huge thanks and appreciation for the smooth running of the event go to the entire GUARANT International organizing team, led by Project Manager Michaela Šefrnová. For them, WFNS 2025 was another successfully managed intercontinental project of massive proportions. Organizing an event for almost 2,000 delegates required precise logistics, technical support for complex practical workshops, and perfect coordination with local partners. We thank the hosts for their trust and look forward to our next challenges.
