After several successful years, we were once again honoured to host Hydrogen Days 2024, a traditional event of the hydrogen community, which celebrated its 14th anniversary this year. The conference once again served as an important platform for the exchange of information and experiences between European regions that are at different stages of introducing hydrogen technologies into everyday life. The event was held at the Cubex Centre Prague, a multifunctional space built in a cubist style, which thanks to its transformable interior is a great choice for various events.
This year’s conference focused in particular on the question: “Hydrogen – implementation lost in regulation?”
The conference programme included a wide range of presentations, workshops and discussion panels that focused on three key themes: 1. Development and deployment in the energy sector, 2. Development and deployment in transport, and 3. Cross-cutting and overarching issues.
We also paid special attention to the newly added Matchmaking Session on Thursday 22 March. This activity aimed to foster meaningful connections and collaboration among conference participants to promote innovation and growth in the hydrogen industry.
The conference also included a forum on the NEXTAEC (Next generation Alkaline Electrolyser) project of Horizon 2020, where participants had the opportunity to hear about the successes of the consortium members in the field of alkaline electrolysis.
In addition to informative sessions and presentations, the conference offered ample networking opportunities for participants to connect with industry partners, researchers, policy makers and potential partners. Participants also had the opportunity to explore the beauty of Prague and enjoy the historical sights and the exceptional atmosphere of the ancient streets.
Finally, we would like to thank the members of the entire implementation team who contributed to the organization of this successful conference. Hydrogen Days 2024 was an important event for the hydrogen community, which allowed to establish new contacts, gain useful knowledge and collaborate on the development of hydrogen technologies. We look forward to future editions and to further progress in this important area.
