INTRODUCTION
Between May 20 and 23, 2026, Prague became the global hub of neurosurgery. The luxurious NH Collection Prague Carlo IV hotel hosted the third edition of the prestigious WFNS Vascular Symposium. Chaired by Professor Martin Sameš and Professor Giuseppe Lanzino, the event built upon the highly successful previous meetings in Cluj, Romania, and at Harvard University, USA. The symposium attracted leading global experts, clinicians, and researchers to share the latest advancements and foster international collaboration in cerebrovascular disease treatment.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The congress was guided by a clear and impactful motto: "New ideas in a short, clear lecture, verified in an open and constructive discussion." The scientific programme thus maintained a highly dynamic pace. Over two days (May 21 and 22), the schedule was packed with specialized blocks focusing on arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), cavernomas, aneurysms, ischemia, and a Varia session. The interactive demonstrations of surgical techniques during the "Bypass Masters" blocks, supported by state-of-the-art technologies from the symposium's partners, were a massive success.
An integral and highly appreciated part of the symposium was Thursday's Nurses' Session, held in the main hall. It provided nurses with a platform to share valuable case studies from clinical practice – ranging from sepsis management and the operation of hybrid ORs to the specifics of care for patients with ischemic strokes or brain aneurysms.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME AND NETWORKING
An intensive scientific programme demands quality space for relaxation and informal networking. On Thursday, May 21, delegates gathered for an exclusive Networking Dinner at the Grand Cafe in the newly opened, luxurious W Prague hotel directly on Wenceslas Square. The symposium concluded with Friday's Conference Dinner at the legendary Club Lávka, offering guests an unforgettable view of the Charles Bridge and the Vltava River at night. Both social events provided the perfect backdrop for forging new professional contacts and engaging in deeper scientific discussions across continents.

CONCLUSION
The 3rd WFNS Vascular Symposium in Prague confirmed that open discussion and the precise sharing of neurosurgical skills are key to pushing the boundaries of the field. A massive thank you goes to both congress presidents, all the speakers, industry partners, and the participants for creating such a great atmosphere.
